🇮🇳 Rodrigues, Amanjot Lead India to Historic Win at Bristol; England Suffer First-Ever T20I Defeat at Venue

Bristol, July 1, 2025 — India defeated England by 24 runs in the 2nd Women’s T20I, taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series and breaching England’s unbeaten T20I record at Bristol.

Batting first, India posted a formidable 181/4, thanks to stellar half-centuries by Jemimah Rodrigues (63 off 41) and *Amanjot Kaur (63 off 42)**. The pair rescued India from a shaky start at 31/3 with a dominant 93-run partnership. Richa Ghosh added a late flourish as India plundered 117 runs in the last 10 overs.

In reply, England stumbled early to 17/3. Tammy Beaumont (54 off 35) showed resistance with her first T20I fifty since 2021, but tight Indian bowling and a sharp fielding effort, including a direct hit from Sneh Rana, kept England at 157/7.

R. Ashwin’s young namesake N Shree Charani took 2/28, while Amanjot Kaur also chipped in with the crucial wicket of Nat Sciver-Brunt. Beaumont’s run out shifted momentum decisively in India’s favor.

This marks India’s first T20I win at Bristol and a statement performance heading into the next clash at the Kia Oval.
